“May you be covered in the dust of your rabbi.”
- first-century Jewish blessing
"We are discovering the Way of Jesus by deepening our connection with Christ,
His church, and our community."
In May 2025, New Hope's Consistory and Staff gathered to discern how God is calling us to live more intentionally as disciples of Jesus Christ. From that retreat emerged a clear vision: deeper connection with Christ, the church, and our community—inviting everyone, wherever they are in faith, to follow Jesus more fully.
We began this journey by studying "Practicing the Way" by John Mark Comer, learning that discipleship means being with Jesus, becoming like him, and doing as he did. A meaningful highlight of this season was our all-church outreach day, serving neighbors across the greater Columbus area.
In the season of Lent, we engaged in the study, "Why Did Jesus Have to Die?" by Adam Hamilton; exploring how Christ's death brings forgiveness and freedom for faithful living. Groups met throughout the week,
with connections to Sunday sermons.
Together, may we continue to discover the way of Jesus—growing closer to Christ, strengthening our shared life as the church, and shining hope in our community.
